Phone Mount Solution
1. I use a Quadlock case because I ride motorcycles and Quadlock is amazing for bikes.
2. Any Ram mountable accessory like the Apple magnetic charger would work, the Quad lock is not really relevant here.
3. Some folks may be a little hesitant to modify a panel that costs $712.80 to replace. But I did it. I have experience with this type of mount in other vehicles.
For me this works the best. Plug in a USB C to USB C cable to the center console charge point and plug it into the Quadlock inductive charger.
It requires sinking two screws into the trim. The screws are maybe an inch long. There is nothing underneath there that is sensitive. I marked and predrilled two tiny holes for the screw, just enough for the screw to catch. The screws sank straight and snugged tight, I felt them catch solidly as I was slowly turning them BY HAND SCREWDRIVER.
Post the relevant pics and Bob's your uncle. Now I just hop in and the phone magnetically snaps into the quad lock inductive charger.
Now you say, when why not just drop it into the Lexus inductive charger, MisterScot? Well good question. You absolutely can and I actually like the placement and functionality of the Lexus charger but I also like to look at and have access to my phone while driving. And this is a great solution that I have used on other vehicles. Parts are easily available from Ram Mounts/Amazon or Quadlock.
