Brake squealing/ grinding
An update from my dealer. As I said earlier, my front brakes will be fixed under warranty even though I am at 62,000 miles. Due to a shortage of brakes, each dealer is limited to one set of brakes from Lexus. My dealer has put me on a waiting list and I am currently #48 on the list. He has no estimate as when they may be fixed. He states it is not a safety issue and I have to put up with this loud noise every time I brake until I work my way off the list.. seems crazy.
I purchased my 2024 Lx at the end of November and brought it in today for squealing breaks. I had heard the squeaking before but thought it was from cars around me because why would I think my brand new Lexus was squealing? Service said it is a known to Lexus issue and the wait will be at least 8 months to get the parts in. Could be more. To say I’m unhappy is an understatement. My husband and I have purchased at least 8 Lexuses. $115K is dumb money to spend, but I at least felt confident spending dumb money on a Lexus. Not anymore when you’re selling me a wildly expensive car with a known, 8+ month wait to get it fixed.
