Default alarm sounding on its own

the alarm just went off by itself. it did this a week ago and the other night, I could not get into the car.

Most abnormal alarm were trigged by faulty sensor. It happened to me on one of my previous European car (Audi Q5), turned out to be the faulty sensor for the hood opening. As far as you said "couldn't get into the car", assume you meant your remote didn't work? how about touch sensor on the handle, and/or using the emergency physical key?

Depending on which sensor triggered the alarm, it needs to be replaced.
