Default 2015 vs 2016

I am in the market for an LX. I’m considering either a 2015 with around 80k miles. I’m also on the fence about whether I should pay a little more and get a 2016 to get the interior upgrade. I worry about the 15’ aging too much over the next ten years. The draw to get the 15’ is the lower price. I’m wondering if when I go to sell down the road the ~12k price difference won’t make a difference though.

also, what would you say about buying a 2016 with higher Milage? I’m looking at one that’s 100k miles and another has 126k. I just don’t know if that’s too high of milage. I plan to keep the next one for about ten years and estimate I’ll put on 10k miles a year.

thoughts on 2015 vs 2016 and higher milage 16’s?

I think it'll be a personal choice in terms of the look you prefer. And of course the MY16 has more gadgets than the MY15, but down to the bottom it's a very similar vehicle. Personally I prefer the MY15's rear end over the MY16+ but that's my preference. The front facia (the grill) has grown overtime (when I look at my MY01 Mercedes E class) compare to the newer / more recent ones, the facia looks very tiny on the older models (making it looks old - can't say it's a classic unlike the older Porsche 993). I think the transmission is also different b/w the MY15 and MY16 (someone confirm?)

Yes, 2015 has 6-speed. 2016 has newer 8 speed. I have a 2015 I bought in Sept. with 88k miles. I came from a 2015 GX. I love it so far. Very quiet, etc.
