Question Extended L/Certified Warranty Costs

Hey everyone -

I just bought a 2016 LX570 that had been L/Certified previously. I reached out to a Toyota dealer (I've done warranty business with them before) that can extend the warranty into my name for the following cost (below). I was wondering if these costs seem in line for anyone who may have done the same? With all the electronics in the car, I'd feel more comfortable with a warranty so I was looking at the 36 month/unlimited miles warranty. Thoughts?

The term adds on to the LCertified warranty that comes with it and makes the whole thing transferable. All of the following are unlimited miles.
12mo - $900
24mo - $1630
36mo - $2415
48mo - $3315
60mo - $4325

My dealer charges $2910 for 5 additional years of the CPO warranty. They have for many years.

When I got my MY15, I opted for Lexus Platinum Extended Warranty (which as of 2 days ago the warranty work has exceeded my cost on purchasing the extended warranty already) which cost me $3200 for a total of 10yrs (from the date vehicle was first registered) unlimited miles $0 deductible. Still have about 3 more years to go before the warranty expires.... Such a peace of mind IMO.

Do you mind sharing the local dealer info?

Sorry to give some misleading info. The price is higher when you are outside of the factory warranty period. Just saw you have a 2016. It will be more costly. You need to buy the 5 year extension when the vehicle is under 50k and 4 years to get the better price.
