2019 LX - Navigation/infotainment system random shutdown
I am the original owner and over the last couple of years while driving the navigation/infotainment system would completely shut down. This has happened 3 times and each time it would come back up. It was almost as-if the system was rebooting.
Has anyone run into this issue?

"About 3 times in 2 years" means it will be difficult to duplicate. You may want to take a long ride or 3 with your service technician. I'd also suggest asking the question in the 200 Series section on ih8mud.com.

Maybe try turn off XM traffic / weather first and see how it goes. It would be best if you can record when the instance happens..how since it's so random it'll be hard to capture (not to mention the inconvenience). But try to go w/out XM traffic and weather first. Take note what was 'on' (in terms of the nav / audio / bluetooth commections etc) when it happens also. Process of elimination.
No ride with a technician will be long enough. 3x is equivalent to a once per year event.
My biggest concern is this occurring after the warranty expires and the what-if scenario it decides not to come back on at all. Perhaps getting it documented now will prove helpful down the road post warranty expiration.

There's a firmware update available via the Lexus portal that you can put on a USB. The change log on the update states it helps with the rebooting.
That's gonna be impossible to replicate for a service tech, I would think maybe a loose wire\connection somewhere.
I just cringe every time I get in my wife's '21 and have to use the stereo. I can't think of one positive feature other than it turns on. If someone came out with a plug and play replacement I'd be all over it.
