Default OEM fluids / Aftermarket

Are dealers required to make available OEM flights upon customers' request? My local Lexus dealer uses BG fluids (which I am against), but when I requested to put in Toyota / Lexus fluids, they said most of the fluids they put in are made by BG unless that particular fluid being changed BG doesn't make, then OEM fluid will be put in. Is that 'valid'? Meaning can I enforce / instruct to put in Toyota / Lexus fluid ONLY?

Most of the fluids are not made by BG...Toyota engine oil notes made by Mobil 1, same with the 75W-90 gear oil for the front and rear diffs. Ravenol 75W oil for the transfer case meets Toyota specifications for the 200 series. Be aware that Toyota's list price for 200 series transfer case oil is > than $50 per quart. Ravenol ships 2 quarts for around $50 or so delivered if you can't find it locally. You can ask the dealer to use only Toyota fluids, but you'll pay through the nose for the name as well as the source. If you demand Toyota fluids, check Amazon or eBay.

Our LX and Land Cruiser have gotten along well with M1 and Ravenol. As long as the lubricants meet Toyota specs or better, no issues with warranty.
