the LX has excellent 360 degree cameras.
while towing stuff, it is nice to turn on the back up camera to check if the load has shifted, etc.
but while driving forward, the camera button does not work. i assume there is some sort of lock out to not allow the camera to be used above a certain speed.
but, still, i would love to be able to see the backup camera maybe every hour that i am towing stuff. is there ANY way to do that? Maybe a dealer setting that can be changed?
now the only way to do that is to put it into reverse when i am stopped at a red light

That is the only way to see in back with the oem camera.
You'll need another camera to see the back when driving forward. Afaik, they're available in wired, wireless, and bluetooth versions. Various styles, all Chinese. I'd start with Amazon.
well, i am coming from a 2007 RX350....so they are a godsend to me.
i could imagine an suv with more modern electronics having better cameras!
i do have a garmin GPS and a backup camera....but it is kind of a PIA to use, and would look like hell on the LX570 dash.
I will look around, maybe someone makes a back up camera that i can use with my Iphone that does not turn off after 10 seconds while driving forward.....
I once let my horse trailer sit unused for months and corrosion developed either in the LX trailer receptacle or the horse trailer connector. The next time I towed, the LX display was the backup camera continuously, it never went back to normal after I connected and throughout the drive. After I finished the trip I sprayed contact cleaner in both connectors, and the display returned to normal. I have no idea what connection anomaly caused it.

wonder if there is a way, with a jumper near the tow connector, to simulate that on a long trip?
I have a 2018 LX570 and I push the backup camera button (behind the steering wheel on the right) while driving slow both forward and backward and the camera comes on so I can see when I’m parking. I don’t know at what speed this does not work.
