I have a LX570 2009 model. Got Check engine light, slip sign, and 4lo blinking. Managed to pull the below codes from scanner.
P0419: Secondary Air injection system relay "B" circuit
P2447: Secondary Air injection system pump stuck closed bank 2
The car runs absolutely fine at all speeds. cleared the codes and it only comes back at a cold start if the car is parked for more than 15 hours or so.
I bought the car recently and i could hear a air suck kind of noise for a minute at only cold starts for the past 2 months until i got the check engine light.
should i just replace the secondary air pump and the issue would be resolved?
I would just get a plug and play SAP bypass kit, like this one https://hewitt-tech.com/store/index....ct_detail&p=44 . SAP is only in use briefly at start-up under specific circumstances for emissions compliance reasons, so bypassing it should have no effect on emissions testing or any other operational aspect. I had this bypass kit on my 4Runner V8 for years and never had any SAP-related codes or issues.
