Auto Headlights, Paddle Shifters on 2014 LX?
As the title says, due to the craziness with high used car prices I got what I thought was a sweet trade-in offer on my 2014 GX460 and I ended up with a 2014 LX570 with half the miles.
I was biting my nails as the vehicle wasn’t ready for 3 days wondering if I lost out on some features.
Turns out I lost the Blind Spot Monitor and Cross Traffic warning when backing up, not an option until 2016 as I understand it.
The owner’s manual said you can have the dealer unlock the auto high beams, but I was informed that I don’t have the hardware.
The manual refers to both the paddle shifters and auto high beams, does anyone have the auto high beams on a pre-2016 model? Was this option only for non-US LXs?
I have all the options that I can tell, the pre-collision system, radar cruise, cool box, and parking assist cameras.
It sours my decision a tiny but, but I enjoy all the other features I gained and the extra space for sure.

I have a 2015 which also does not have auto high beams nor paddle shifter. It is referenced in the owners manual as optional features but I don't believe they were available for the US market at the time. BSW and cross-traffic alerts would be nice to have in a vehicle this size, but the other positives outweigh the lack of those features, at least for me. I went to an LX from a 4Runner V8, which is very similar to your previous GX460, and so far I really like the LX for the extra space, trailer towing ability and comfort compared to the 4Runner.
