Went for oil change yesterday and dealership recommended battery replacement for our 2017 LX. We have not noticed any indication of battery failure. Since the vehicle is driven mostly by my wife, don't want to take any chances. What do you guys recommend would be the best battery to replace? I read about OEM's , Optima, Odyssey but could not decide.
Thanks in advance for advice
I just recently replaced with Costco (actually the Interstate branded). I couldn’t find 27F in stock near my areas, instead, I decided to replace it with an AGM H6. It gave a slight better performance, the size wise, it is a little short than OEM, but added a bottom insert, it fits just fine.

Thanks. I would check my local Costco. I checked interstate website and along with the two options you mentioned, its also giving me an option of 34R. Do you thing it would fit LX without any modification?

I recall I read from somewhere that yes those Costco batteries are made by 'Interstate'....BUT the reason why the housing is in black (and not the famous green / colorful housing) is because those batteries are 'recycled / re-serviced' batteries.

How do you "re-service" a battery.
This sounds along the line of WalMart selling guns which are factory seconds.
If you got an AGM battery you will have to maintain it monthly. The charging system will not fully charge an AGM battery, (even with the alternator mod) so you have to put a charger on it about once a month to bring it up to full charge. Otherwise you will shorten the life of the battery.
