I purchased a 2018 CPO LX back in December and looking for guidance for a couple of basics to keep in the truck. We live in downtown Chicago and have a lake house in rural Georgia and looking for advice for a basic or starter recovery kit. Thinking, something to pull the neighbor's car out of snow in Chicago. I picked up a smittybilt 30,000 lbs strap from 4WP yesterday, what else do I need? Thanks.

 

D-ring shackles may come handy. I also carry a kinetic recovery rope, good snow chains and a shovel.

 

thanks. This is more of a baby hauler for the next few years, then add some goodies. But the d-ring shackles, do you leave them dangling on the front/rear or put them on as needed?

 

It's not a Jeep :-) I just carry them somewhere in a box.
