My driver side power folding mirror started acting up about 6 months ago. Made a new Lexus/LX friend from all the way in Panama, Oren. He pointed me to a genuine Toyota/Lexus repair kit for the mirror retractor mechanism. I ordered it up a couple weeks ago and finally got installed today. Back to working perfectly now. I made a video as well incase it is helpful to anyone else. Video and link to the repair kit below:
Thoughts from the experience. I'll never buy BFG K02's again. I know lots of people like them, but maybe I'm just more picky than others. They're junk in my book after this experience.
KO2s are great tires, not a junk! But, they are great tires on my modified Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. They work great even on difficult rock crawling trails and definitely do not deserve to be called junk...Simply, if you want to go 80 mph on the highway, you need different tires. I use Michellin LTX A/T 2 (P 275/65 R18) for both highway and some offroading on my LX and I am happy with them.

When I was younger I used to love the BF Goodrich all terrain tires and even their Trail T/A's. They balanced out well and were overall good all around tires with decent characteristics. The KO2's I have tried on 3 different vehicles over the last 5 years and they have truly been junk in my personal opinion. The simply do not balance well at all. Do they have okay traction in offroad use? Sure. But there are others in the same price range that have good off-road manner along with balancing better and also having better on-road performance. The KO2's have fallen behind the rest of the market are not worth even half of what they sell for. This is my personal opinion and I'm sure others will have their own opinion.
I'd stay with OEM filters in all areas, dusty or not dusty. What advantage(s) do you think aftermarket filters give you?
The K&N absolutely flows better, there's no question about that. But definitely does not filter as well as OEM. The main issue with oiled filters is people re-oiling them poorly and ruining their MAF. Anytime I have run an oiled filter I never reuse them, once they're old replace them.
It's been a fun week of snow and cold that Austin is not accustomed to. The LX along with the Michelin Defenders have done great. We've been out running errands and dropping supplies for friends & family everyday this week and the LX has performed flawlessly. Meanwhile a lifted Titan with BFG mud terrains was stuck and couldn't get rolling again after it stopped. A Wrangler with KO2's was stranded once it drove off the powdery snow and onto the packed snow. Keep in mind, this is Austin, TX. We don't have plows, we don't really salt or sand the roads.
After having the Michelin defenders on for a while now I can say they handle heavy trails and rocks very well (not hard core rock climbing, but more action than 99% of LX/LC owners would ever see), they tow very well for such a light tire (no marshmallow tire feel), and now I know they are pretty darn awesome on snow and ice. I love the look of a knobby offroad tire, but I will never put one on a vehicle that gets normal road usage again as long as Michelin keeps making these tires.

Are you saying the OEM filter is restrictive on the 5.6L V8? If that's the case, why doesn't the K&N show a horsepower increase?

There's always cost vs benefit. Whether that cost is more noise, less filtration, or $$. The stock system is built to be quiet, filter well, and perform well. Yes, more power can be had with better air flow. Do some searching and I'm sure you'll find some dyno results of aftermarket intakes for the Tundra forums. For me, I'm back to a Toyota/Lexus filter.
Hello Sir. I have a 2009 Lx and would like the link for the key fob(credit card style). Also, I looked for the head unit you had installed and cannot find it. Do you have direct info from the company? Perhaps they are working on something new?

$$$ per additional additional HP are ridiculous. Not to mention additional noise many aftermarket intakes take warm air from the engine compartment.

The credit card keys can be found on eBay, you will need to make sure that you choose one that is compatible. They generally run for around $200, and will need to be programed for your LX.
I'm at 191k miles now. The headlights were starting to get dull so I walked my 8yr old and 10yr old sons through the process. Here is the video incase you're wanting to tackle a headlight restoration on your vehicle too:
