Default Am I missing something here?

When you turn the steering wheel, there should be 2 screws you'll see to hold the steering column covers in place. But am I missing the screw covers (on both sides)? The screws are exposed..shouldn't there be 2 plastic tabs to cover the screws?

You are not missing anything, there are no covers (at least for my 2016 LX 570).

No covers on our '01 LX nor '13 Land Cruiser.

Why do you think there should be covers?? Maybe grab a tube of black silicone gasket sealer and apply gently??

Noticed that too on my 2014. Was surprised Lexus missed that.

Good catch- very easy fix. But a very small swatch of textured black simulated leather found at any craft store (~$1.00). Using painters tape, tape off around the outside of the shape. Fill in that void over the screw to about 90% with clear silicone, then gently press your carefully cut out piece to cover the screw. Will take about 10 minutes and it will look great. There are even easier ways to correct this like using a small round piece of black plastic but the first method will yield an excellent result.

Help me understand...

Why does "this" need correction? Sounds like it was "correct" as delivered from Toyota.
