I had my 2011 LX recall repair done two weeks ago at Northside Lexus, Houston. Received free wash and full tank of gas as well.

Just bought a 2014 LX and previous owner didn't do the recall yet. Just curious if you all got a Lexus loaner or non-Lexus rental (ex. enterprise)? I know the fact that my local dealer Bay Ridges Lexus does not really have any Lexus loaner.

The recall mentions a loaner would be covered up to $45 per day, it doesn't mention Lexus or non-Lexus. I opened a case with Toyota as to getting a Sequoia, thinking I'd need something at least as big or bigger than my Land Cruiser. Corporate told me they would guarantee a Sequoia. Turns out with a 1.5 hour turnaround time start-to-finish, I figured no sense in a loaner.

Quick side question. I noticed a few of you did the recall and the dealer also give a full tank of gas? Is this standard op for all Lexus dealers? Or only a few? I never get a full tank / top off from my Lexus dealer in California.

Probably it's a standard. I did the recall today and received a full tank of gas (Lexus Reno, NV). I am not sure if my LX will like it as it gets non-ethanol gas in last few months (finally available in my area). But I did not refuse it :-)
I also got a loaner (RX 350) for a day. I was able to survive a day with it although not so comfortable as my LX. Maybe, the problem is that my dealer (as most other dealers) overinflates its cars. 40 PSI cold is not definitely the right pressure for RX tires.

I had my tank topped off by the local Toyota dealer. I'm not sure of the octane number as I did not see the pump.

I'm hoping it's at least 91 octane...some here will swear engine damage is likely with lower octane fuel.

My LX570 had the recall fix done; however a week later I received another LEXUS letter about a new recall. The new letter discussed a very similar scenario as that in the original letter. I called the dealer about the second recall, but the dealer had no idea what it was about. Weird...

Here is an update.

A new driver side air bag was diagnosed to be the problem, and this 9 month long problem looks to have been prolonged for no reason. But that would be too simple.

- The part took two weeks to arrive
- Cost to install $1400 but a discount of 250 was offered due my complaint and having opened a case with Lexus

Two days later, the airbag red light is back on. And, whatever they did with programming affected other functions:

- Right front parking sensor triggered a one time error. Then self resolved. Now all sensors are less sensitive
- Back up camera failed while the parking sensor error was on
- Rear hatch no longer automatic.

Going back in Monday morning.

Anyone else having a problem getting recall work done at Northside Lexus in Houston? I see that at least one member got their fix done there. I have been rescheduled twice now, and now have heard nothing for weeks.
