Yes, from 2018 model year and up, the reverse lights are OEM LED now. However, to retrofit to prior model year will not only involve just the lights assembly, but also the trim pieces. You are better off just to replace the the bulb with LED will be much practice as I have done with my 2016 LX.

Default Hey

Assuming am ok replacing the trim pieces to upgrade my 2016 lx570 reverse lights to 2018 + led , do I have to worry about the bulbs being led? Will it just be plug and play with regards to the bulbs or Will I need resistors?

Am willing to be the guinea pig. Can someone guide me to the trim pieces I would need to make this work?

Here is what you need. Simple plug and play with LED bulb built in. Assuming your car is black or white. If not, have your local bodyshop paint it to match your car color.

I look forward to seeing this through. We have a 2018 and these LEDs are incredibly bright and nicely done.

I wouldn't be concerned, other than it's not an OEM Toyota part...simply Chinese crap...imo. I pass on Chinese parts on either our LX or Land Cruiser.
