We have identified the cause of wind whistling noise in the driver side cabin is due to a missing gasket where the driver side mirror attaches to the door. I ordered the gasket and plan to install the gasket myself. My question is how difficult is it to remove and replace the mirror? I assume there is a piece of trim that covers the bolts that attach the mirror? Any thing I should be away of or is it pretty straight forward?

I assumed the gasket that you are referring to is a soft piece rubber kind triangle shape that goes on to the mirror house between the door frame and mirror housing, right? to replace that is fairly easy, if I am recall correctly, just one small tapping screw near the lower triangle frame, then just pull it out with soft taps. most works are taking the door panel off, disconnect the mirror control harnesses, there are three bolts hold the mirror assembly. There is also a weather seal tape one the gasket where the harness cable goes into the mirror that needs to be removed before you can take gasket off. Rest of are easy.
