Yeah, I have been angry at Lexus for neglecting LX since instead of releasing new model they just updated the old one. And it has been what 10 years since release!?

One more time...the 200 series' major market is definitely not the north American market. Lincoln's and Cadillac's are not designed by their makers with a 250K / 15 year life cycle. Either one, off-road, won't get nearly as far as a 200. If you're not looking for a truck that you can trust in the boondocks, the Caddy and Lincoln should be just fine.

The 100 series went 11 years prior to the 200's...looks like you may be waiting a bit if you're hot to trot for a 300. ;-)

Been a LC owner since FJ60 and have owned all 3 versions of LX (currently awaiting trade of our 16 lx for a 18 3rd row delete).

I have never owned Navi or caddy. Read about unreliable etc.

that said, in the Middle East, suburban are everywhere. Conditions are harsh. They see pretty high miles

isnt caddy and suburban same thing ? If so, wouldn’t caddy be reliable till 250k?

My company trucks for around 10 years were Sub's. I could count on replacing transmissions around 90-100K, without fail. You could add to that issues with intake manifold gaskets and steering parts. GM reliability is not remotely close to Toyota's. It's an assumption to say a Sub will last until 250K, without knowing what's been repaired or replaced during that time.

Most of my ex LC/LX friends that drive escalades alll are due to they got tired of no cargo space behind third row and dragging a roof box.

It didn’t. The 100 series was sold from 1998 to 2007.

Regarding the LX570, the changes in 2016 are what confused people. It was certainly not just a facelift but also wasn’t a new generation

I could choose between a 'burb and tahoe/denali...always took the 'burb for that reason. No problem carrying scouts to Philmont for a campout with all their stuff.

Lx450s were 80 series and produced only from 1995-1997. It had the 4.5 engine, hence the name.
The LX470 100 series was introduced after that in 1998.
I do expect the 4th generation to be either introduced as a 2020 model or never, just keep building those 200s for the next 30 years. Just keep introducing new engines and other upgrades every few years.

The fact that the 200 is built for world markets definitely gives rise to some of the differences. The 200 is 2.5" narrower and nearly a foot shorter (in length) than a SWB Tahokonalade, a sizing decision entirely for non-US markets. The smaller footprint affects interior room but on the other hand makes the vehicle easier to deal with for city dwellers like me

But both the engine and the infotainment definitely need updates to stay competitive.

You've got 1,600+ posts about a vehicle that you don't own and clearly don't like. Time to get a life.

No argument intended, but why the fascination and theories about the 200 series?

Inquiring minds, etc....
