Default Tailgate powered lift in manual mode

Does LX 2016 have powered tailgate lift assisting in manual mode? I know I can open it with remote and the driver side button, it automatically opens up. But in manual mode, I actually have to lift it up to open it. Is there a setting that I missed to set up?

No, you have not missed a setting, Lexus took the "lift" away.

Thumbs up Tailgate does power close though

My wife noticed that, once you lift the bottom tailgate portion, you do not have to slam it. It will do an automatic slow close.

I can not for the life of me imagine why Lexus would take away this feature.
Only thing would be getting pinned against the garage door if in close quarters but the slightest resistance and the door would stop.

I just open mine with the FOB now.

Not sure if I missed anything or miss understood. My 2016 has the power lift gate, the only difference is (compare RX or NX), you press the rubber button, then give a slight up motion, the lift gate power take over and opens. Is this slight up motion we are talking about here?

I meant totally automatic without using any force to pull it , just like push the button on the driver side or with a remote (FOB key). My Toyota Highlander, I just push the rubber button in the back it automatically opens itself .

I would wonder if the dealer can change the settings to make it fully automatic.

I asked my dealer at my 5K on my 2017 LX and he said no. My both RX lifts at the touch of the soft rubber button. I do like on the RX units where when the back door is open you can quickly hit the door close button and it not only closes the door but locks all doors when done closing. Wish my LX did that.

Go figure.

On both my RX you need only push the rubber button and it lifts without any assist.
