We just finalized process of purchasing a 2014 LX570 and should be picking up next week. While at it, we were pitched the sale of GPS tracking to be installed by a third party ... of course at a monthly cost. This was surprising to me cause I always thought the high end Lexus cars came with GPS tracking from factory. Am I wrong?

Yes, you are incorrect. On board GPS receives a satellite signal telling you where you are. It does not rebroadcast your location.

With a paid subscription, in an emergency, your Lexus LX will broadcast your location for help via it cellular system.
