2011 LX 570 Tailgate issue

When the tailgate to my LX is up and I press the button on the door to lower it automatically it beeps twice and doesnt do anything Ive made sure the bottom hatch is secure, does anyone have any suggestions or had the issue in the past? Thanks

I am not sure about '11LX but probably there is a switch (somewhere hidden at your knees - as usually) which disables power tailgate closing.

We had the same thing happen. We accidentally turned the switch off. It is in the cluster of switches to the right of the steering wheel at knee level.
