Hey everyone, looking for some help. Did some searching but have only found what seems like outdated info or posts that didn't quite fit my situation. Hoping you can point me in the right direction.

Considering an '08 or '09 LX570, w Mark Levinson. Specs say it includes Bluetooth, but from what I'm seeing here there are issues with iPhone? I'm running a 6 on iOS 8. I don't care about mirroring screen, streaming youtube video, or anything like that. Just need to know if I'll be able stream Pandora and Waze audio from my phone, and obviously make phone calls as well.

Can it at least perform these functions, or do I need to add one of the several additional pieces of hardware I see people talking about on the forum?

the BT in the 08-09 is only for phone. you can pair with iphone no problem but won't be able to transfer phone book

if you want BT audio streaming, you need to get stuff like the vaistech sl3b

 

I was able to transfer the entire phone book via BT to my 2010LX.

 

10-12 are gen6 nav and phonebook transfer on iphone is ok

 

LIke the others said it is phone only and I could never get my phonebook to download.

 

I use the aux cable for music in my '08. No streaming is possible.

 

2008 and 2009 have Bluetooth for phone call purposes only. You have to use the 3.5mm headphone jack aux port to stream music.

In 2010+ you have a USB port and Bluetooth support for audio streaming.
