Hello friends....silly question, what color should the carpet floor mats be in the LX570 for the Parchment color interior?

I am going to pick up my 2014 LX570 tomorrow, and when I looked at it today, I noticed the carpet floormats (Front and Middle Seats), it had a dark color floor mat....but then the cargo area was a matching Parchment?

I figure Dark Carpet + Dark Leather Interior makes sense..but Dark Carpet + Light Interior?

I googled it, and seemed to find images both ways....

Shouldn't it be Parchment all the way thru out?

It's a NEW 2014, just wondering what others are seeing?

I'm sure I'm overthinking this....help, please?

I cant help to answer your question only because my 2014 came with all-weather floor mats which I am changing out with Weathertech Digital Fit floor mats. My suggestion would be, if you don't like them, ask the dealer for what you want and hopefully they could pull through. My guess is that they probably ordered the car like that and put black mats thinking they are doing you a favor because the lighter mats would stain easier.

 

From the pics - I like the look of the lighter ones and have always had "matching" floor mats. That said - I wonder how you can keep the parchment mats clean. Might want to ask then for a set of Parchment mats to match - and keep the dark ones.... If they tell you NO, get the parchment ones and order Weathertech digital fit floor mats (in a color to match) - they are great.

I forget the model year - not sure if it was 2009, or more likely, 2010 - that Lexus switched floor mats for parchment-colored vehicles from parchment to dark brown/black. Totally normal. And yes, the cargo mat is still parchment.

 

This is correct - my 2011 RX350 came with black floor mats but the cargo mat is parchment.

 

If you use yours in the for everything any weather manner we use ours your wanna get some darker color rubber ones to go over everything. Seems it gets dirty pretty quick used in this manner. Enjoy, IMHO they are the ultimate vehicle .

Mine had the dark brown carpet mats, do way I would have lighter color on the floor.

 

I know in my '04 LS the Ecru interior had dark mats and they started doing it in the LX not long after. But.... it seems you likely already know this. Enjoy!

 

My '17 came with the dark brown mats in the front and middle seats and a parchment one in the cargo area.

I've been told that dealers use the dark brown mats up front because customers complained that light-colored mats show dirt and wear too quickly.
