Cracked windshield
Will it be expensive to replace it on 2013 model?
I,m in Canada -7 degrees right now. In the morning I remote started the car to worm it up.
When I came back into the car I noticed carck about 2" above the wiper going along the wiper for about 12". Should something like this be possible to happen to car like this?

I had several $1800-2000. Probably a small chip that the cold then heat caused to grow. If you complain real loud to your dealer, there is a chance that Lexus will pick up the cost. I think it is worth the effort. Let us know how it turns out. Lexus or the cost. The windshield is to me the weak point of the lx 570. In fact my wife wishes I would drive something else as I have had an insurance premium increase just because of broken windshields over the past 6 years.

I would check with your agent. But I had coverage, and after my 2nd or 3rd my rates went up. It was a couple of years ago so I don't remember how much. I eventually switched companies.

Yeah Dealer just informed me it will cost around $1500 to replace it. They said they found hole where the stone hit the windshield and because of that it cracked. Even if there was a micro dent in the windshield this should not have happened to car like this. (talking about lexus pursuit of perfection!)
This will make me strongly consider buying other brands. My father just bought MB GL550 and I may just follow his steps. Just saying.
