Default I will be leaving for a year or two

I have been here from day one when the first LX570 were delivered and have owned three.

But it is time for a change and signed the papers on my New Cayenne S and will take delivery next Thursday. Still love the LX but need a change for a while. Would not be surprised if I did not return sooner or later!

You people have been GREAT!

The comfort is not like the LX. They are two different vehicle with two different purposes. There is a HUGE weight difference. But on the highway with the Cayenne set at the comfort setting, it has a very good ride. Around town the everyday bumps are not quite as nice as the 3 ton LX. Interior sound level is not quite a quiet but not bad at all. The Bose with upgraded speaker package is not quite as good as the ML but it is darn close. The telematic package in the Cayenne is far more updated compared to the "aging" LX electronics.

What the Cayenne does give you is response in a very precise way. Steering is instant and body sway, compared to the LX, nonexistent. At a touch of the "sport" button, transmission programming, throttle response, body height and suspension are changed, instantly, into a much different beast that means business and is ready to get the job done! 400 ponies in a much light vehicle is FUN! Highway fuel consumption at 70 is 27.8 mpg in 8th gear.

My favorites are the seats. Way more adjustable than the LX. An example is the lumbar support is not only adjustable in the traditional direction but you can, with a push of a button, move it's center point up or down. The seats hug you so you can concentrate on that next turn. The interior is simply perfect in every detail. Even the back seats are stitched perfectly, something lacking on my 3 LX units.

Biggest dislike, NO PUSH BUTTON START!!! Sorry Porsche, I know it goes against all tradition but I miss being able to get in the vehicle and just pushing a button to make it go!
