if they have 50% residual for 3 yrs, then no matter what money factor, it's not going to make the lease deal anything attractive. for those with the mean to pay cash for the car, definitely a much better deal to buy the car and then sell later.

of course, that's if we take tax out of the question. here in CA you only pay tax on the portion of the car you lease, meaning only on 50% of the car for example. on a 90k car that can be 3500 bucks. and towards end of lease, you can always try to sell the car and "get back" a lot of the money
