Default Speedometer Question

i have noticed my Speedometer is no accurate! when comparing with other cars or using external GPS i get an error from 5 to 10 km. for example if am driving 125 km/h it is actually 117km/h. in the last checking for the 10,000 k the dealer said everything was checked and no error was defined but the problem still there

has anyone faced this problem.

Have you changed tire or wheel sizes? If so that would do it.

I am betting on the GPS to be correct

It is not uncommon for any vehicle to not have an accurate speedo.

I have the same experience.

When I first got my car two years ago there was one speed indicator sign (a sign that flashes how fast you’re going as you go past it) in the area where I live. It always indicated me as driving 8 KM below what my speedometer was indicating. I was more inclined to suspect my speedometer. I had more confidence in the street sign. My guess was that the speedometer was calibrated for the 20 inch wheels used in the US (my Gulf car had 18 inch wheels) and that Toyota didn’t bother recalibrate for our market.
Since then many more of these signs have been deployed and each one of them indicates me as going slower than what my speedometer read (between 5 and 8 KM, I think).

I never bothered to report this to the dealer knowing that they wouldn’t deal with it at all. I complained repeatedly about the vibration around 1500 RPM which many people have complained about on this forum. The local dealer always maintained I was the only one with that complaint. I just don’t want to go through another round of denials.

While I'm at it, I also don't like the way the active cruise control speeds up (too jerky) but didn't complain about it, although I do like the way it breaks. And I think the ML stereo is a piece of junk, relative to the price point.

Sounds like you bought the wrong vehicle. You will not find any vehicle "perfect", especially in this price range. The 570 is still a production vehicle and "perfect" comes at a MUCH higher price!
