Default Speedometer reads 10 MPH slow

So the speedometer in my '96 LS499 reads about 10-12 MPH slow.

It's not a "percentage" based reading low as if it were calibrated for the wrong size tire or something. It's just a straight 10-12 MPH slow at any given speed.

So if I'm going 25 MPH on the GPS, the speedometer says 15, if I'm going 60 on the GPS, the speedometer says 50. The speedometer also doesn't even start moving until I'm going well, what I'd guess would be about 10 MPH.

Is there some kind of calibration or adjustment I can make to correct this?

Common problem with the speedo sticking. Check the FAQs at the top of the forum or just search sticking speedometer.

It's not really sticking though? It's not like it suddenly pops up from 0. It's just 10 MPH slow constantly. So if I'm going 15, it reads 5, if I'm going 20 it reads 10.

I have the same exact same issue with my 91 LS400 speedometer reading lower than it should. It happened when I went into the cluster to fix the partially dim speedometer needle and bumped it a few times with my finger while repairing it. I remember searching for a fix and found someone post that they pulled the needle off, rotated it slightly and reattached it which apparently worked. The needle is really delicate though so I haven't tried it

Issue is in the gauge cluster. We can fix. They are not adjustable.
