since they have added privacy glass to the 2009 lx570 does anyone know why the tailgate glass was omitted.

 

They did it as a safety issue from what I heard talking to the Factory Reps.. Kinda silly I think since it has parking sensors and a camera...

 

Maybe some states have rules, which wouldn't take into account the sensors and camera? Just guessing.

 

I don't think it's a state law since almost every other SUV has tinited windows on it all around except the front doors....

Maybe it was a production cost savings...

 

Yet another weird thing about the Lexus LX570...my G500 has privacy glass all around...my Sienna minivan has it all around...my '02 4runner had it all around...my brother's LX470 has it all around...my wife old '06 Highlander has it all around. All of these vehicles came from factory with it.
