Default Front camera 3/2 ???

I tried to figure this out in the book but I really really cant and feel stupid. The photos from the HID string made me think of it.

What is the difference on having the front camera on:

arrows to the 3
or
arrows to the 2
????

Nothing seems to change....

I know the answer is something simple but I just feel like an idiot on this

If the setting is on 3, then you can view: 1. front and side together or 2. front alone or 3. side alone. When the setting is on 2, then you can see only see front and side together (you cannot control which camera displays). In the 3 mode, you can control which camera displays by pressing the "view" switch next to the park assist switch. I guess if someone wants to only view the side or only view the front, the 3 view comes in handy. Hope this helps.
