is there any picture of the remote start?

 

this first several lx570 were equipped with remote start and then it was pulled as an option. there is a software conflict with the front and side mounted cameras that is being addressed. it has only happened a couple times in very isolated incidents where the camera video had interference, but lexus has stopped offering it for now until a software fix is in place. no eta available.

i have the lx570 w/ remote start. it has been working fine... no problems... not yet anyways. hasn't caused any issues w/ cameras.

the remote start remote is not any different.
they integrate it into the regular remote. no special buttons.
you utilize the lock button, pushing it three times and holding it on the last push to start the car.

 

Just recently, Lexus announced to all its dealers, the remote start is now available to LX570 owners - but there is a catch. The remote start only applies to LX570 models with the last 6 of the VIN starting with 014995 and greater. This would mean the specific production date of the LX would have to be June 20, 2008 and later. This LX Remote Engine Starter will be available on all 2009 model year LX's.

It appears Lexus has made the appropriate changes to the existing hardware already equipped in the LX as opposed to modifying the remote start part itself.

Darrel, thanks for this information. My VIN is earlier, is there any way to make a remote work for me?

 

U should press E button then Start button, u will hear a beep then after 10 seconds it will beep again which means the engine just started, u can set it to 10, 20,30,40,50,60 minutes. U can set the background color from orange to green, also u can set it to beep or not. Easy to use.
