I installed TRD Supercharger on my 2014 LX570 and I'm getting engine codes that I did not have before the install.
I've replaced the sensors and traced the wiring. Battery is good and so is starter. I've pulled the negative to reset the computer....still nothing works. Getting shuttering from gas pedal when accelerating and goes into limp mode if it's pushed too hard. I had a mild starter tune put on and we cannot get to the next steps until this stabilizes.
anyone else have these issues? Anyone have constructive comments?
The Car Care Nut has previously mention that any change in the geometry of the block/heads/cams/etc. will cause these types of problems. Did you do anything that may have changed the geometry?
First thing that comes to mind is the cam sensor harness is pinched somewhere. All of your problems are on the same side / bank. You should check the harness w/ a meter from the sensors to the computer, visual inspection only goes so far. Otherwise pull the blower back off for a look, the harness is a bit crowed in the back / firewall.
Yours is a 2014 you should be able to flash your computer w/ the TRD tune just use a loaded Tundra VIN. Toyota discontinued software support in 2016.
Found a loose wire in bank B lower. Installed a new pin and got the tune. Running great except at WOT after about 6k rpm. Shows leaning out with TRD fuel pump supplied. Ill get stronger one and then finish tuning. Also need some brackets made to fit an 07 kit on a 14 install.
please don't do that to your LX. not worth the money imo... also raises the cost of future repairs.
It’s a shame we don’t have a “downvote” feature on the forum to disincentivize unhelpful posts like this.
Coming to an auto forum to whine about someone installing horsepower, with a factory Toyota kit, in their vehicle is quite odd. It’s sort of like going to a church to set it on fire, or to a steakhouse to protest meat. Way better uses of time out there, and far less anti-social.
@Dragaeran - I think this is a neat mod and curious how it feels and performs when all done.

what's wrong with it? you need to respect others. everyone can share their opinion. you can agree or disagree. a lot of modification kills the car. car care nut also suggests not to modify the LC.
6K RPM is awful high, you maybe hitting fuel cut. I manually shift @ 5K if I'm in a hurry. Above that the torque is going away & your just ringing it's neck for no reason.
I assume your running the larger injectors that came w/ the kit. What tune are you running? Can you see if it is going into fuel cut?
I did install the green head injectors and the TRD supplied pump, but the tun showed lean out at higher RPMs. My Tundra used to throws codes and go into limp mode if I did a hell run....like, every day, every inch....
[QUOTE=Supra Dr;11945491]Will your tune allow fuel trim?
I can tweak almost anything with the tune. Next month I'll get the some more data after the FP is installed and we make more runs.
