Hi everybody.
I'm the new kid in town. I've been browsing this forum for a long time but never really participated in a discussion because I didn't have a lexus myself. Just been dreaming about one day getting one of my own. And finally the wait is over I've actually saved up enough money and deciding to bite the bullet and buy a 2004 LX 470. I've made up my mind that I want a black one with ivory interior. But I was wondering about one thing and maybe someone can kindly enlighten me on this. What does color-keyed bumper and side board mean? I see that as one of the features on the 2004 model. I myself prefer the car to be black all over but sometimes I will see an LX with sort of a two tone exterior, with the silverish or greyish bumper and side cladding. I hope someone knows what I'm talking about. I wonder if the single-tone color is an option that can be ordered or not.
That's all I have for now. Until I actually get the car I won't have too many specific or technical questions to ask yet. But I'm sure in the future I'm going to be soliciting expert advise from all of you senior lexus owners quite often Thank you in advance for any feedback and nice to meet you all.

On most cars, color keyed means that it matches the exterior paint of the vehicle. The black on the LX only comes with the silver. The only colors that come single toned is the white and the beige/gold.
