TRD Japan Product for LX 450/470
Heyy All,
Here is a link to TRD Japn. It looks like they offer some suspention parts for the LX's. I am going to order the sway bars from TRD. I just hope that i can order J.D.M. parts from some one here in the US. I will post pictures when they are installed.

Hey gang,
If anyone wants a better handling LX...then these sways bars are for you. I have had these JDM TRD spec bars on for a couple of weeks and they absolutely corner flat out. Wow!!!
Jay Marks Toyota and Jeff Watson were happy to order these from Japan with delivery about 8 weeks.

Did the installation of the TRD sway bars affect the straight line ride? Was this improvement with the stock tires and wheels or have you upgraded and if so, to what?

Wow,
There is a reply to this old thread.
Is the straight line ride the same? Hmmm, very close...you do have a slight bit firmer feel to road bumps at slower speeds. The big difference is the cornering dive the stock suspension has...it no longer exists. The body roll is what the bars work on...and they do a great job!
As for my wheels....stock rims and stock tires. Body roll is body roll it makes no difference what tires/rims you have. Now, if you wish to remove the tire roll...then yes, lower profile tires are inorder....just not for me. When I want all out performance...I have plenty of cars to choose from.

So I am guessing you don't have to use the sport setting for the suspension adjuster on the console. You can keep it in the plush mode and still have the sport feel of flat cornering from the new sway bars. Do you know if these will fit the 2002 model, and did it affect the ability to change ride height? I di see hte web page for these from Japan, but where do I order them from, do you have the phone number and contact person?

Hey,
Yes, I seldom need the sport setting. In reality, all the sport setting does is stiffen up the shock damping all around and may help in the roll control of the veh. But, after putting these sway bars on you will no longer need to put up with that stiff ride to get the roll control you need. Even at the normal setting the LX has far, far less roll then stock with the sport setting and the ride is all Lexus.
Glad to see some interest here. You can contact any TRD supplier that is willing to order from Japan. I go with Jay Marks Toyota and talk with Jeff Watson....8003272087. I have worked with Jeff for years and he knows this stuff. And, I can always talk to him personally when I call. I can see no reason why the same bars wont work on the 02.
