Looking for an older LX470
Looking to an older LX470, mostly want a weekend warrior toy....
Something to take to the beach, hiking, kayaking...etc
And when needed, some medium duty off roading.
Have a 2012 GX460, but always really preferred the older LXs.
What should I be looking for and what should I avoid?
Thanks!

Start here http://sleeoffroad.com/newbie/newbieUZJ100.htm . Mud has a good newb's guide and tons of FAQ's https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/100-series-faq.30754/ . Avoid trucks from the rust belt and / or states that use walt on the roads in winger. Imo a pre-purchase inspection is well worth the money...up on a lift with skid pans removed and carefully checked for rust and other weirdness. Have the AHC tested and make sure it works.
Get your financing together and be ready to travel. Realize that Toyota imported less than 5000 per year to all of north America, and that includes both the LX and its parent the Land Cruiser. Cherry trucks move very quickly and you'll figure out quickly that a well taken care of truck really holds it's value.
Report back with what you get.
