Default Vibration at 40 mph on my LX470

Hello All...

This is my first posting...and I hope someone is able to help me out.

I have been experiencing some unexplained vibrations that have been happening when I hit 40 mph at a slower rate of acceleration. When the vibration starts, I will let go of the accelerator and press it down again immediately...and the vibration is gone. ????????? I am totally puzzled.

Can anyone help me out to figure this out so I don't have to go to the dealer's and get raped in service charges.

I'd appreciate any input.

I was experiencing vibrations on my 2005 LX470. I was lucky enough to find out that it was related to an unbalanced rear wheel. I know this because I was fortunate to find the weight (attached to the rim during wheel balancing) was missing.

So, check your weights ... Or get your wheels balanced at your local tire shop. If it's shimmy during braking, then it could be related to warped rotors.

Thanks Ghito...I'll check out the balance. But the friggin thing only vibrates at 40mph. Hopefully, the balancing does the trick. I'll let you know.

I have this issue a vibration or shudder between 30-40 MPH while accelerating lightly. If I take my foot off the gas or push harder on the gas the shudder goes away. 2003 LX470

- I have balanced all 4 tires
- I have swapped my driveline (this was $1,500) and I was hoping this was the problem (my mechanic suggested this fix

No such issue on our '22 with 18" OEM tire and rims. Hope you get this sorted out - must be very frustrating.
