im looking to install a remote/auto start feature on my LX470 for those cold mountian mornings....has anyone done this? can anyone offer any feedback?

It can be done, but make sure you go with a reputable installer. You'll need a spare key (a valet key would be sufficient) that is programmed into the ECU.

The installer should hide the key in a location so that when you do activate the remote starter, the spare key will send the needed signal to the ECU to get past the immobilizer.
