Default Are we getting remote start through Lexus?

I received a survey today indicating Lexus has had an overwhelmingly positive response to Remote Start and is looking at several different options. They include Standard Key which you would have to push twice to activate, Larger Key which would show you if it started, Separate Key only for Remote Start, and Smartphone activation which would take about 20 seconds. My vote was for the Standard Key because I don't want to have to go with a larger fob or yet another key and the Smartphone has a delay. They also gave various distances, like 80 feet, 500 feet, 1500 feet, etc. Lastly, they presented one-time prices and annual fees. Some were reasonable, some were pretty expensive. We'll have to see how this plays out based on the responses from owners.

Finally some leeway towards getting a decent remote start system. I'm eager for some more info when it's available.

I got the same survey last night. You really had to pay attention to those 4 fob options, distances, and costs when making a choice. I thought they could have done a little better job with those sets of questions. I do hope that what ever Lexus comes up with that I can still put it on my 2013 GS.

Once the pricing options got up to the $699/$799 category I started checking "none of these". I want them to keep the price down.

I got the same survey. I liked the smartphone option. The key fob is nice, but too often the car is a ways out and the app could confirm the vehicles status.

Honestly, Lexus just needs to just buy a Telsa and recreate their remote app and call it a day. Their app is phenomenal.
