Default Dash button question?

I’m looking at an 05 LX and on the left side of the steering wheel to the left of the remote mirror controls, there is a blank button. Every other 05 is identical.

Upon looking at an 06, there is a tire icon with SET in it.

What is this for and why the button blank on the previous year?

That button is used to initialize the tire pressure warning system, to set the low-pressure thresholds. 2005 and earlier LX do not have tire pressure monitors.

Default Dash Button Question

Thank you for educating me on this. It’s strange to me that there was a blank unused space prior to its use after 05.

The LX sold in other parts of the world may have had TPMS, the GX had the system at that time.
