Default WTB Steering Wheel for '92 LS400

The steering wheel on my dad's 1992 LS400 is falling apart in chunks and we need to find him another one soon. I've been searching threads here for the last couple of weeks but I haven't seen anything, at least nothing that would seem to fit. Ideally a wood steering wheel would be awesome but I don't think it was offered on the early LS's. From what I've read, trying to use a wheel from some of the later model LS may cause issues with the air bag fitment, but I don't know for sure.

So....let's see what's out there. You can email me pics at Jonny2k@msn.com.

Thank you!

I have an extra black steering wheel if you'd be interested.

Can get it to you by next weekend.

It's in pretty good shape.

Thanks for the tip on getting the steering wheel reconditioned, but unfortunately he drives the car quite regularly and couldn't afford to be w/o the wheel!

Can you send me pics to jonny2k@msn.com? His interior is tan so I'm not sure how it would look but options are kinda limited for us thus far. Thank you!

Yes of course...if anything, you could always put this one on the car while you send your other one off to get "refinished."

Know what I mean?

I'll take some pictures of it today and send it your way.

I'll sell you my JDM Woodgrain 90-92 LS400 steering wheel. I bought it about 2 months ago, and am starting to part my car out little by little to fund a new project car I'm starting in 2009. I'm using it on my 92 right now and it fits perfect. It will come with the factory Toyota Celsior airbag, but you can swap the USDM Lexus airbag on to it, its a straight bolton. Steering wheel is in EXCELLENT shape! Its the factory Japanese wheel for the LS400 so the cruise control and horn works perfectly fine, its a direct bolton. Takes less than 5 minutes to install really. Its woodgrain and sewn leather.

$365 shipped

Here's a few pics:

This is how it will come (with the JDM Toyota airbag)

This is it on my car with the USDM Lexus airbag.

You can use the Toyota airbag if you want, it plugs right in. I just decided to use the LEXUS one since I still have all the USDM Lexus badging on my car.

I'll send these pics to my dad....ultimately it's his call but you certainly don't find many of these available. Thank you so much for chiming in!

No problem, keep me posted To be very honest, I don't think anyone in the U.S. has this wheel, at least that I know of. So its a very rare part to have If you need any vouches for me, I'm fairly well known on vipstylecars.com. and have a good amount of feedback on Ebay and on vipstylecars.com too.
