Default Another Tire Question

I've searched threads related to tires and couldn't find what I was looking for.

Does anyone know of a tire that offers the most comfort and luxury, as opposed to performance? Seems like all of the tire choices for our car tout performance. I'm looking for comfy pillows.

I have 20" wheels, looking for all-season.

Thanks.

These are the closest I can find to what I'm looking for:

MICHELIN
PRIMACY TOUR A/S
245 /45 R20 103V XL BSW
$291

PIRELLI
CINTURATO P7 ALL SEASON PLUS
245 /45 R20 99V SL BSW
$199

CONTINENTAL
PURE CONTACT LS
245 /45 R20 99V SL BSW
$245

Would love to hear opinions.

I had the same mindset when I replaced the original set of run flat on my 18 LS. I wanted to emphasize comfort and quiet over performance and tread wear this time around with this LS. Many previous gen LS owners rated the Pirelli Cinturato P7 A/S original and the Plus 2 version very high on quiet and comfort. So when the Plus3 came out, I took a bite and tried it, even though I am a Michelin guy through and through for most if not all of my cars.

To me, the P7 Plus3 is a great quiet and comfort tire no doubt in that "Grand Tour A/S" category, but it's not the best. I don't get to say nor see I have the best tire for my LS. To me, that best tire in the category is the Michelin CrossClimate2, which is directional as you probably know, and that was, and still is, a deciding factor for me on my LS. On my SUV or van, it would be a no brain I will have it on. I had the CrossClimate2 on my van and loved everything about it, well except maybe for its ability to attract and hold onto rocks between its grooves. But on a luxury car, the directional tread looks kinda funny. Also, at the time I was considering having an OEM fullsize spare, which is a no no with directional tire.

If I have to make the decision again today though, tough, but it's still between the P7 Plus3 and Michelin Primacy Tour A/S. I might say I listened to other previous gen LS owners and gave P7 a try and now i am back to my Michelin self.

We have always run Bridgestone Turanzas on our LS430. They give very long life, decent wet and dry traction. They aren’t what you would call an ultra high performance tire, but we have never had a problem with them and this is our third set. It’s what Lexus put on the car at the factory.
UV rays kill the life of these tires before mileage does.
I wouldn’t be surprised if someone out there gets 80,000-100,000 out of them.
Comfort is unsurpassed too.

There is another option, i did this with my LS 600h:
Use one size bigger tires and lower the pressure a bit:
Buy 245/50 R20 instead of 245/45 R20

And runflats are for sure out of the question?
Has anyone really swapped brand new runflats for brand new standard tire? Thats apples to apples comparison.
I think anyone that swaps out worn out runflats for most new tires are going to be very happy. New tires are magic.
Im not here to advocate for Runflats or not. Issue I have is people that review tires are always happy with new tires. New tires are vastly better than old tires!
Im a tennis player, My worn out $150 shoes won't feel as good as new $75 shoes. Does that mean they are the greatest?
To really compare I have to do back to back "feel" new to new then I can ascertain that the difference. With tires its not as easy.
Anyone come on a chat site like this, after replacing new runflats and start raving about them? No. They are a lateral move.
I did replace on my 328I msport and 535i MSport (staggered) runflats with non and had a decent size donut eating up my trunk(s). Boy oh boy did those mack daddy new non runflats feel better than my old worn out runflats!
My point is we usually advocate for what we do and when others follow suit it validates our decisions with online chats.
That I could not rotate was part of my decision on those BMWs. Backs lasted 20k miles, front 25k. My tire guy really liked me BTW!!
Have runflats really improved over the years?
Now, Im not dispelling that there is anything wrong with moving away from runflats, and I am considering it as well. But I have time and will keep learning.

I tend to lean towards Michelins myself, based on experience.

Another good candidate and the mileage rating is incredibly high. Do you live in the Atacama desert? How are UV rays killing your tires?

Interesting idea, have you tried this on an LS 500? What's a bit lower, 33psi, 34psi? Any issues with the edges of the tire wearing out faster than the center?

I believe the general consensus for all run-flats are that they ride harder than non run-flats.

The LS430 is my wife’s car. It’s a low mileage car, so time kills the tires before mileage. 14 summers in LA and 7 summers in AR. 3 sets in 21 years.

I have been to San Pedro Atacama about 7 years ago. Can't vouch for the tire wear though.
Its very dry there, not much oxygen when you get up on up. Few clouds.....lots of sun. Cold nights and warm days.
Wonderful place to visit, highly recommend!!!!!!
