Dynamic Nav renewal
Has anybody renewed there dynamic navigation updates successfully? The Lexus app started showing info about renewing and updating but it’s very confusing. First off my dynamic nav subscription ends in March. When I go to update map data in my car it says “It was not possible to complete the update. Please contact your dealer.”. I contacted the service dept and they didn’t have a clue. On the Lexus app it allows you to check if you can upgrade and has a link to purchase the update. It shows part LEXU00CY1719. When I called the parts dept to order they said the new part number is 86271-HDD09-00. I pressed the sos button to ask enform support for more info and they said dynamic nav is new and Lexus wasn’t prepared for the renewals coming up. They said originally you could only get it installed at the dealer because it requires a TIS account for activation but now it can be done on the app. The person I spoke to said he hasn’t seen anyone successfully update it so I’m holding off until I hear more.
I am getting the same messages when it prompts me to update. I finally gave up. I have a similar issue with Lexus Driver app. I bought the car used from a dealer but the previous owner is still registered in the app as the owner of the car under that VIN, so I can’t register, even though Lexus has record that I am the owner of the car. The previous owner has to release the identifying email address and they won’t tell me the email address to contact him/her.

I selected the email option. Under "Topic" I selected General Inquiry. In the message field I stated that I had recently purchased a vehicle and would like to update the owner information in their database. I also attached a copy of my vehicle title. I received confirmation that the records were updated within 4 days. I was then able to complete the Lexus Driver registration process.

What Years is your LS, if it 2019 and above you can utilize the apple carplay for map, its better and you don't have to pay $80 a year fee, if it 2018 just have the dealer update the infotainment system to allow apple carplay for $199.

Lexus SL 500 2018 issue for assistance. My Dynamic Navigation expires after three years on March 28, 2021. A screen pops up every time I start the car with MESSAGE: Your Dynamic Navigation Expires on date below: March 28, 2021. This started two weeks ago. I contacted Dealer in NJ about a month ago preparing for this expiration. Service Advisor and Technology Expert stated that you renew with Lexus Corporation, and they download an update via Satellite like they do other software updates for Enform. I called today the Lexus Center, and they stated that the dealership is all wet. You must either order the USB and do it yourself for $169, good for two years or go to dealership to do with possible labor charges. The dealership says they know nothing about this approach and are investigating. They have never done an update for the Dynamic Navigation, just map and gracenote yearly updates. What confusion with Lexus when they have innovative technology and needs updating. Meanwhile, come March 28, 2021, all my temporary destinations will disappear and default back to the original maps when I bought the car. I read in this previous thread that you could update using your Lexus App. I see no one has had luck in previous posts going back to February 202 with doing with App.. Has anyone updated their Dynamic Navigation and how was it done. What is the real story.

I have a 2018 LS, my subscription to dynamic Nav runs out in May. I have tried to update on the ap several times, but when you hit "purchase" it goes to an error page. I used the ap to sign up originally - as I bought the car used and had to change the driver info as above.

Hi Everyone: I updated my Dynamic Navigation when it expired in March 2021. I got the run around from dealer who was all wet. Lexus Corporation said that the Dynamic Navigation is done by dealer as Lexus has not been able to use satellite to renew for another two years. Lexus Corporation spoke with dealer, dealer apologized to me as this was their first time dealing wit a renewal, and I just paid the fee for the updates and no labor charges, about $169 for two years. I received updated maps as well as the Dynamic Navigation Software. Took them 2-3 hours as I was the first one.
