Default LS driver massage issue

Have any of you guys had any issues with massage option? With mine it seems that there's a tear on the inside as I can hear a hissing sound and feel a stream of air flow every time it gets to the top of the seat..
I wonder how they fix it, replace the seat or replace the insides only..

Are you sure thats not the blower for the cooled seats, have you tried turning that off and making sure it wasn't that.

Ya, I observe this in one spot only, the top of the driver's seat on a right hand side. The massage option is working fine otherwise, but once the massage gets to the top, a loud hissing sound can be heard and I feel air coming from that spot. It's not coming from the bottom cushion, so I was thinking maybe one of the air pockets was leaking..

Mine also does the hissing when it’s at the top, I just assumed that was normal that it’s releasing air because it inflates and deflates to do the massage.

I really think it’s normal, if you ask the dealer about it let me know what they say.

Ya, I will have them inspect it when it's due for an oil change. I could hear a very quiet sound of inflating and deflating from day one, but the loud sound from the top started only a couple of weeks ago..

Can you shoot a short video to show how loud the noise is? I could compare it to mine.

Something else I just thought of, try out the passenger side one and see if it does the exact same thing. That would tell you if it’s normal or not.

I had the same faint hissing sound when using the seat massage. You can barely hear it in a loud environment. Not normal. The dealer replaced the air bladder and also the part that regulates the air pressure. Now it's as quiet as was when I first bought it.

Wow. I've been using it for 2 years and never had the sound. After reading this, I tried it this afternoon and boom, there it is. No way I would have missed that before, as it's pretty loud. For me it appears to be coming from the left side only.

i didn’t think the passenger had a massage option. Which option package does it require?

Im pretty sure if the driver seat has massage then the front passenger has massage. The rear seat massage is a separate option package

It's a known issue. I had to have both driver and passenger seats fix (at different times of course). The plastic elbow of the hose that connects to the bladder can crack, the dealer showed me the issue with the seat opened up, it's amazingly complicated. Takes several hours to fix. They said they've had to fix all the seats of all the LS's they've sold from that dealership, it might be worse in cold temperatures?

How long did the dealer take to fix it for you?
Mine has been doing the same thing, and I thought it was normal when cooling was combined with massage.
