Exclamation Ls500 burning oil- shift delay-shift bump

My 2018 LS500 needs a quart of oil every 1000 Miles, anyone with the same issue ?
Shift Delay Drive to Reverse & Reverse to Drive,Had L-SB-0039-18 Bulletin done and same problem exists. I see Lexus bought back early production cars with the same issue from consumers. Any info Greatly Appreciated.
I just purchased the POLK list of 2018' LS500 owners and will be sending letters looking for others with the same issues. Please contact me with any info.

Do you put your car in Neutral before Drive to eliminate the bump?

How hard do you push your Turbo engine?

What rpm do you shift when you get on the expressway?

Have you tried moving from R to N before going into D?

Yeah I had the shift bump and had it remedied with the fix, I do know there are some owners that still have the issue just not as bad. The oil consumption is it usually a display stating its low, I know there was a TSB for this and it was an error and people were over filling the oil not knowing.

I resolve the shift bump in my 2019 by putting it in N after R before going to D.

I'm down 1/4 qt oil after 2k.

BMW’s 4.4l TTV8 has a similar oil burning issue, their solution is to add a quart every 1,000 miles. They even go out their way to give their customers a fancy oil container for inside your trunk.

Try and seat the rings. If it's still low mileage (like 5000 max) you may be able to fix the sealing, bring it up to operating oil temp and launch it 1-4 gears full power to 1000 less than redline and manually shift it down back to 1st using as much engine braking as possible and avoiding the brakes if possible. Do that 4 times and see if the consumption goes away, a lot of people make the mistake of never seating the rings.

Babying the car does nothing but produce an inferior ring seat and you have less power, more blowby, more oil use, and less compression, and worse leakdown. The caution period given with new cars is for the diff and trans not the engine, cars that come with factory broken in engines explain as much in the manual. High performance car engines are run in very hard before ever being installed in the car for this reason, so that they work as well as advertised without issues.

My LS has just under 8,000 miles and isn't using any oil, no shift problems D to R to D. Must be lucky. I do run the car on my favorite freeway on ramp to between 90-95 MPH in SPORT+, at least 2 out of every 3 outings with the car. I'll get caught by the CHP one of these days. This car has a lot better traction than the RCF I had before for obvious reasons. Think the RCF with the twin turbo would be quicker than the V8.
