Idea for avoiding the lurching/delay in acceleration issue
So I had an idea for avoiding the notoriously dreaded throttle delay response that the new Lexus and other Asian cars are experiencing when coming to a non-complete stop. After reading on the Toyota nation forums to find general info on the Toyota RAV4, I learned that owners of the new 2019+ hybrid RAV4s do not have any issue with the transmission giving whiplash/delay in acceleration when coming from a stop/random throttle input issues.
Perhaps buying a hybrid Lexus LS500 is not a bad idea after all if the hybrid version resolves these issues. The slower 0-60 time in the hybrid LS500 isn't a big deal to me, and it seems that toyota CVTs are pretty durable and reliable. After reading all 7 pages on the hybrid RAV4 2019+ models on that forum, I also saw that that SUVs has virtually no major issues.
