Default Engine Sound Sport Mode

Is it true, the engine sound during Sport Mode acceleration is artificial and piped into the cabin?

After reading the following statement in an article about the new convertible LC 500, I got to wondering:
"To hear the sound better, a pipe brings the engine's note into the cabin, and Lexus specifically notes that this is not an electronic sound."

Is the engine sound on the LS an electronic sound?

Yes, it is a sound that is piped through the speakers.

That's crazy. Never would have thought that.

I remember reading somewhere that it's piped in through the firewall from the intake. It doesn't come from the speakers. Either way, I can't really tell where it comes from. Sounds good to me.

Lexus has two kinds.

I know the NX F Sport, IS 300 turbo, and the GS F use speakers.

The IS350 and GS350, as well as the LS460 F Sport all used the intake pipe.

My assumption on the LS500 was that it was electronic/speakers.

Yeah, sounds good to me too. I've never had a car with twin turbos before.
