my 2018 model has a remote start that is part of the enform application. The car will start and idle for 10 minutes and then shut down. Is there a way to increase the idle time to anything more than 10 minutes?

 

Sadly no. I think it’s a great feature, as I can start my car anywhere with a connection. Wish it stayed on if I opened my door, but I guess it’s the liability Toyota doesn’t want.

 

My understanding from a Mercedes dealer, is that in Europe there are countries that don't allow the remote start because of fuel shortages in the past., This was a couple years ago, so could have changed.

 

Might want to check 4th LS Gen for DB3 and/or DSM/VSM 550 if applicavle/compatible.

 

Even after remotely starting the car, if you start it again, it will only run for 6 more minutes. Environmental concerns, I believe.

 

System is limited to two (2) ten (10) minute cycles then you must start it conventionally
to reset the count. No owner or dealer setting to change that.
