Seems like a good balance so far. I still can see the side view mirrors very well.
Thank you all for the advices you all shared.
Don't forget to post some pics of that bad boy up when the sun finally comes out.

I considering tinting using ceramic, front shield is a must right? otherwise all the heat will come in anyway, what about the glass roof. I know you can get clear ceramic tint, whats the experiecne with it?

Trying to see if it makes sense just doing side and rear windows using ceramic or standard tint

for the windshield if your picky with clarity a high end ceramic tint is best ill give a couple of examples.

most of the posters that talk about what they do i dont think there sensitive to end result with vision , feel, and clairty
so determine what your tolerance is...

then if you dont enjoy much of a change 3m crystalline 90% will take about 35 % of heat out and is a great product for looking natural

i am in warm climate i would of done 70% 3m crystalline if did it over, i see your in staten island dont think its necessary unless you want a darker look or skin issues to protect from uv

a lot of people use the lumar blue 80 which has a blue hue to it, for me i didn't want the color on my windshield but its a great solution.

good luck, once its on the windhshiled its not easy to take off and when you do it put some thought to it and do it in a way that will make you happy with results

Basically what mikesrx350 stated, when I had front windshield tint I had a significant difference with ceramic tint vs the regular tint. The amount of heat that was let through was a big difference, as I would still get in the car and it would be still very warm. When I switched to ceramic the interior cooler and not as hot from sitting in the sun. If you want it for heat dissipation def go with a ceramic tint.

My previous car was a X6. The back windows are tinted from the factory so I got 35% ceramic on the front sides and sunroof. And 70% ceramic on the windshield.

That car did not come with any type of heat rejection on the windshield. I'm not sure about the LS. I believe flagships of other brands have some type of heat or UV protection on the windshield.

good choice, if your in Ny another great option i didn't remember to tell you is

leave stock as you chose,
have great visibility and the original look of glass which i have on my ls460 in a warm climate and love the front windshield clear.

i bought a weathertech sun shield that wasn't cheap think i paid 60 bucks or 80 for my wifes bmw custom made

i got lucky and it fits on my ls pretty well, its a great solution for hot summer days in ny if the car is in the sun

9 or 10 months a years its a non issue up there, i miss the cool fall days after summer favorite time of year in the city

good luck
