Ugh. Looks like the car that struck you was struck from behind. Based upon their airbag deployment they took a lot of the crash impact. Hope everyone is OK. I love the dashcam video. No question about what happened. All of the insurance companies will want to see that video.

Yeah a pick up truck hit him and then he hit me, he lost control because he wasn't wearing a seatbelt, he got pushed into passenger seat. He was okay though, after accident but not sure what pain he felt the next morning, I just have neck pain. Yes I sent to my insurance and they will give if they ask for it.
So sorry this happened to you and know how you feel.
This happened to me on the highway while I was stopped almost exactly the same way as you with the car behind me hitting me after they were smashed into back in November.
Luckily the trunk and parts above the bumper were fine.
The insurance of the driver that hit the car behind me paid the entire bill that was about $4K plus they paid me $500 for diminished value.
I used an authorized Lexus body repair shop that used only OEM parts.
Have you taken the bumper cover apart to see if there are any damages?
Will you be using OEM, used, or aftermarket parts?
Will you be recalibrating the parking sensors and BSM?
The shop is supposed to start taking apart the car today, so I will know more today hopefully. Definitely using OEM as I have made it very clear, that everything needs to be replaced with OEM parts and not used or aftermarket. I do believe they will be recalibrating once finished, but I will make sure to ask as well.

I was going to ask about diminished value but was unsure on how to proceed with that, how did you request it?
Yeah I saw that in the video. It's almost like he was reaching for something on the floor of the passenger seat.
Yeah if you slow the video down you can see he isn't wearing a seatbelt, which is probably why he couldn't regain control as he did have enough space to stop from my visual view.

I did a lot of research and could have used one of the services online, but after checking car fax sales for high mileage LS500's with and with out accidents reported the prices / values differences did not justify the service cost.
So I gathered the evidence I needed and submitted a letter with the claims adjuster and came to an agreement.
In the end, I was happy that my wife and I, as well as the others left the scene unharmed and that my car was restored to previous pristine condition.
PS: They will need to recalibrate all the sensors and few other systems. Your estimate will be slightly different since you used a modded diffuser I believe.
Sorry to hear this happened. On a positive side you are ok, and that's probably only a $1,500-$3K repair. As someone above mentioned, when you are hit from behind, always try to file a claim with the other party's carrier and not your own. It saves you the deductible and the direct hit to you claim profile when your policy renews. As far as diminished value is concerned, reach out to collision safety consultants (Collision Safety Consultants | Diminished Value & Total Loss Expert) before accepting any settlement.
Yup. While I may be new to Lexus, I've been in the german car scene for 30+ years. CSC is awesome, particularly if you own a niche vehicle that is not common.
