Default Daytime Running Lights

The passenger side daytime running light/parking light on my 2018 LS500 is now only half lit on the DRL, parking light, and/or headlight setting. The 3 light bars that go up at a diagonal underneath the headlights light up, but the long horizontal band that wraps around the bottom does not light. The turn signal and cornering light work fine. This condition just started. I knocked on the headlight no luck- the headlight appears to be a sealed unit. Nothing appears loose, and the car has had no accidents. Can anyone suggest a repair short of replacing the entire headlight assembly? Thanks for your help.

sorry man, that sucks.

The DRLs for the 4th gen LS (LS460) commonly wear out over time. Similar to what you described here. I figured Lexus would of chosen LEDs system that would of lasted but I guess not. I used to have dim DRLs too. I just lived with them.

does yours have an accident history?

if your car is under any type of warranty i'd %100 take it to a dealer and get your warranty people involved to fix it. It's a safety item so it's probably an easy claim. Id imagine an Ebay headlight assembly would be the best option otherwise. If you wanna own a Luxury car sometimes you've gotta pay Luxury part prices. 🤷‍♂️
